I keep my student base small and my counseling sessions one-on–one so you receive the attention that you need during your college admissions process. Every applicant’s needs are different – that is why I personalize my program and tailor my services for each student. You are an individual - your college application process should be, too.

INITIAL CONSULTATION: $150

This comprehension session will allow the student to identify high school opportunities and develop an understanding of how timely choices affect the college admission process. This meeting will include:

  • A review of the student’s high school curriculum, GPA and future course selection
  • Discussion of testing options and development of an individualized testing calendar
  • Evaluation of extracurricular activities and interests
  • Discussion of colleges presently under consideration and development of a preliminary list of target colleges to explore
  • Setting high school goals

Description of Hourly Services:

FRESHMEN and SOPHOMORES:

The early years of high school provide an opportunity to lay groundwork. We discuss the application process, including curriculum, grades, testing, extracurricular activities and summer programs.

JUNIORS:

These sessions are a continuing discussion of specific aspects of the college admission process, including curriculum, grades, college admissions testing, extracurricular activities, and summer programs. We will delve more deeply into college choices and the application process, including the following:

  • Parent Workshop, Application and Essay Workshop
  • College List Development: A written exploratory list of colleges is prepared including “likely, target and reach colleges”’ that are suited to the student’s educational goals.
  • Essay Work: Instruction for writing drafts is provided along with an evaluation and detailed feedback of essays . This work should begin the summer prior to senior year.

SENIORS:

  • Organization of the application components, including activity resume and review of essay prompts. One-on-one guidance with application completion.
  • Specialized information provided for the recruited athlete, performing and visual performing art students, and students with learning disabilities.
  • Scholarship Tips and Financial Aid Assistance.
  • Referrals to tutors and specialized resources.
  • Post Acceptance: Guidance for college selection and choice of major.
